Unimax Foundation Delivers Care Through Food to the Blind Welfare Trust

True service begins where expectations end. For the visually impaired members of the Blind Welfare Trust, basic needs like food, care, and dignity are not luxuries — they’re lifelines. And for the past 5 years, Unimax Foundation has been that lifeline.

Under the visionary leadership of Mr. Shivam Sharma, Unimax Foundation has worked tirelessly since 2020 to ensure that not a single plate remains empty at the Blind Welfare Trust centers across North India.

🥣 A Mission Rooted in Compassion

It all began in the early days of the pandemic when the world went indoors — but those dependent on daily charity were left vulnerable. At that moment, Unimax Foundation made a solemn commitment: “We will serve the ones who see the world with their hearts.”

Within weeks, ration kits, cooked meals, and nutrition packs began reaching dozens of visually impaired residents through regular food drives.

📦 From Kindness to Consistency: 2020–2024

What started as an emergency effort quickly became a structured operation. By the end of 2024, Unimax Foundation had donated over 3,000 tons of food and essential supplies exclusively to Blind Welfare Trust institutions across multiple states.

This included:

1. Monthly ration kits: atta, dal, chawal, oil, masale

2. Special nutrition packs for elderly and undernourished residents

3. Cooked meals during festivals and national holidays

4. Fresh fruits, milk, and supplements for children

5. Support for in-house cooking staff and medical dietary needs

🏠 Serving with Dignity, Not Sympathy

The effort was never just about donation — it was about dignity. Volunteers from Unimax Foundation ensured that every interaction was filled with care and conversation. Food was served respectfully, not handed out as charity.

Sadhu-sants, caretakers, and volunteers were included in this sewa, and regular spiritual satsangs and wellness sessions were also conducted at the centers.

📍 Outreach Across Regions

Unimax Foundation reached Blind Welfare centers and associated homes in:

• Delhi NCR

• Punjab (Amritsar, Ludhiana)

• Haryana (Panipat, Karnal)

• Uttar Pradesh (Meerut, Noida)

With the help of dedicated logistics partners and over 400 volunteers, food deliveries were made timely — even during lockdowns and curfews.

📈 Impact Summary: 2020 – Present

✔️ 3,000+ tons of food and ration delivered to visually impaired individuals

✔️ Over 12,000 unique meals served during on-ground festivals and camps

✔️ Long-term care support for 500+ blind residents across North India

✔️ Medical + dietary supplies for those with dual disabilities (blind + aged/ill)

🙏 Mr. Shivam Sharma's Vision

“We can’t give them vision — but we can make sure their life is never dark, never hungry.”

Mr. Shivam Sharma, Founder, Unimax Foundation

Under his leadership, this partnership with Blind Welfare Trust became one of India’s most consistent examples of NGO-to-NGO collaboration rooted in trust and service.

🌱 What’s Next

Unimax Foundation now plans to:

1. Set up in-house kitchens in 3 blind homes by 2026

2. Create a “Digital Audio Library” for blind students

3. Sponsor long-term nutritional and hygiene care

4. Involve blind residents in eco-packaging and candle-making units for livelihood

💛 Conclusion: Seeing the World Through Service

To serve those who can’t see — is to realize the power of being seen. Every packet of food delivered by Unimax Foundation is a quiet message: “We are here. We care. You are not alone.”

Food fills their stomach — but care fills their soul. That’s what Unimax delivers. — A Blind Welfare Trust Caretaker
