Founded by a dedicated group of socially conscious development workers, NIPUN has remained steadfast in its mission to uplift the children, youth, and differently-abled individuals of India through education, community awareness, and grassroots empowerment.

📘 Foundation & Background: Where It All Began

“Nipun” — a word that means “skilled” in Hindi — is more than just a name. It is a philosophy. In 2005, a few visionary changemakers came together to improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable. Their focus? Children, youth, and the differently-abled — those often left behind in the race of development.

From modest beginnings in the slums of West and South-West Delhi, NIPUN began with non-formal education, community health programs, and skills training. Slowly, this small spark turned into a movement.

🌪️ Challenges & Struggles

Working in neglected urban slums brought its own share of hurdles. Resistance from local communities, limited resources, and skepticism about change were frequent obstacles. But NIPUN’s team stood firm.

The organization embraced a bottom-up approach: organizing communities, listening deeply, and treating the family as the unit of transformation.

📈 Growth & Milestones

With grit and grace, NIPUN expanded its footprint to South, North-West Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, and along the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh. Today, it proudly runs:

• 📚 Pre-schools, non-formal and remedial schools
• 💉 Community health and HIV/AIDS awareness programs
• 🤝 Support for Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
• 🧠 Special focus programs for physically and mentally challenged children and adults

🌍 Current Work & Impact

NIPUN doesn't just serve — it empowers. Every project is rooted in participatory development, ensuring the community is both a beneficiary and a contributor. Thousands of children now access education, women have formed SHGs, and differently-abled individuals are given the dignity of inclusion and care.
