Caring for Children: The Vision of Cry Child Foundation
Real change begins when empathy meets action. For thousands of underprivileged children and families across Delhi/NCR, Cry Child Foundation has become that action — a symbol of hope, dignity, and transformation.
Founded on 1st April 2022 in the humble lanes of Begum Pur, New Delhi, Cry Child Foundation was established by visionaries Miss Pooja Ji, Mr. Suresh Kumar, and Mr. Amit Kumar. Their dream? A world where no child sleeps hungry and every child receives the right to learn, grow, and thrive.
📚 Where It All Began
It started in one remote village with just one belief — education can change everything. Amid poverty, poor agricultural infrastructure, and limited healthcare, Cry Child Foundation lit the first spark with its Free Educational Centre, offering basic learning to children who had never stepped into a classroom.
Over time, the mission expanded. With no political backing, but with hearts full of service, the team ventured into Delhi’s rugged outskirts, determined to bring support where it was needed most.
🌾 Battling Against the Odds
The terrain was steep, the villages remote, and the challenges overwhelming — from chronic deforestation and water scarcity to lack of electricity and healthcare. Add to that the societal barriers: women with little autonomy, children with no future, and elders with no support.
But Cry Child Foundation stood tall, building community partnerships and trusting the people themselves to be the drivers of their own upliftment.
📈 From One Village to Over 100
By 2024, the foundation had reached over 100 villages across Delhi/NCR, serving as a beacon of progress. Some of their transformative projects include:
1. Project “Don’t Be Hungry” – providing nutritious meals to malnourished children and families.
2. Ration Kit Distribution – ensuring monthly food supplies to households below the poverty line.
3. Stationery Kit Drives – giving children the tools to dream and draw a brighter future.
4. Old Age and Widow Assistance – bringing dignity to those often forgotten.
5. Women Empowerment – creating self-help groups and skill programs to lift women out of dependence.

They envision a future where every rural home has access to clean water, education, food security, and dignity — where children become leaders, not laborers, and women become entrepreneurs, not victims.
