When We Serve Food, We Serve Humanity
Food is not just nourishment — it is dignity, it is love, it is humanity. Since 2020, Unimax Foundation has served not just meals, but hope, across thousands of lives.
At the heart of this movement stands Mr. Shivam Sharma, founder of Unimax Foundation, whose belief is simple yet profound: “Khaana sirf pet nahi bharta, insaniyat zinda rakhta hai.”
During the toughest times — from pandemic lockdowns to economic slowdown — Unimax Foundation took a bold stand: no one should sleep hungry. And thus began one of India’s most heartfelt food seva movements.
🍛 Seva Begins: 2020 Lockdown and the Call of Hunger
When the world shut down in early 2020, the streets fell silent, but the stomachs didn't. Lakhs of laborers, daily-wage earners, sadhus, and homeless individuals were suddenly left with nothing.
Unimax Foundation, under the guidance of Mr. Shivam Sharma, stepped forward. Instead of mass distribution only, the team sat with people — under bridges, outside temples, on footpaths — and fed them with love and dignity.
The mission was clear: No one should feel alone in hunger.
📦 Scaling the Movement (2021–2023)
With increasing support and tireless commitment from volunteers, Unimax Foundation expanded its food seva operations across multiple states, with the largest scale seen in **Punjab**.
There, thousands of **poor workers**, **beggars**, and even **lower-middle-class families** struggling post-COVID were served daily cooked meals and ration kits.
Key initiatives during this period included:
1. Over 3,000 tons of food donated till date
2. Community kitchens operated in Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh
3. Door-to-door ration delivery for full families including elders and children
4. Special food drives in slum clusters, railway stations, and night shelters
5. Seva for **saints, sadhus**, and spiritual travelers during holy gatherings
This was not a campaign. It became a sacred duty — serving food as prasad of humanity.
🙏 Sewa with Soul: Feeding the Forgotten
One of the most touching aspects of this movement was how food was served — not just handed out. Volunteers sat with the hungry, spoke to them, and treated them with warmth and respect.
From **elderly women abandoned by families**, to **wandering monks**, to **orphaned children** — every individual was seen, heard, and served with compassion.
Many sadhus, with teary eyes, blessed the Unimax team saying, “Aaj bhagwan ne tumhare haathon se khilaya.”
This wasn’t charity. It was shared humanity in its purest form.
📈 Impact Snapshot: 2020 – Present
The ongoing food seva movement has achieved the following:
1. 3,000+ tons of food cooked and distributed
2. Meals served in 10+ cities including Amritsar, Ludhiana, Delhi, Gurugram, Meerut, and Patiala
3. Over 1,50,000 ration kits given to families
4. **Special food boxes** prepared during festivals and holy days
5. Continuous support to roadside saints, temple caretakers, and rural spiritual communities
With each meal, the bond of oneness deepened.
🌍 Food as a Bridge, Not a Barrier
“Jab hum khilane baithte hain, hum sirf khana nahi dete — hum insaan ki izzat wapas dete hain,” says Mr. Shivam Sharma, whose personal presence in countless drives kept the spirit alive and inspiring.
Food became the language through which barriers of class, religion, and caste dissolved — and the only thing that remained was kindness.
This seva created communities of care, where strangers sat side by side, and hunger became an opportunity to serve, not separate.
🎯 Future Goals
Looking ahead, Unimax Foundation envisions:
1. Setting up permanent food distribution vans in major cities
2. Launching “Seva Bhoj Kendras” in memory of COVID martyrs
3. Providing monthly food subscriptions to 10,000 needy families
4. Partnering with local dhabas to create “Pay-It-Forward Meals” for the poor
🌟 Conclusion: One Meal, Endless Blessings
In a world full of noise, hunger speaks the loudest. And Unimax Foundation, with its unwavering food seva, continues to answer that call — one meal, one person, one soul at a time.
When we serve food, we’re not feeding mouths — we’re feeding hope, dignity, and humanity itself — Mr. Shivam Sharma, Founder, Unimax Foundation
